MT. COMFORT — Common Threads Quilt Guild, INC donated 36 lap quilts for Community East and Community South hospitals to give to patients on Christmas Day.
Leaders for the project were Nancy Hannum (Community East) and Jean Broadbent (Community South). Members from the guild made the quilts and brought them to their Christmas meeting.
Common Threads meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Mount Comfort United Methodist Church with approximately 60 to 75 members present at each meeting. Guest registration is $5.

Upcoming speakers at Common Threads include Lana Russell from QGI on “Cotton Theory” on Jan. 20 and Jennifer Fulton on “Idiot’s Guides: Quilting” on Feb. 17. The Harvest of Quilts Show will be Aug. 26 and 27.
