Fredrick Rosebrock, 70, of Greenfield, passed away on Dec. 7, 2015.
Rick's Boilermaker pride and sense of humor were obvious to all he encountered. He was also a puzzlemaster, artist, '62 vette driver, singer, builder, collector, tradition keeper, patent owner, and an astute and clever thinker that left no detail unconsidered. Through his life he never settled on 'good enough', rather strived for the best he could do.
Rick earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He spent the majority of his career with Bell Labs/ AT&T. Rick's team developed the first family picture phone that was displayed at Epcot Center.
Rick was an Eagle Scout and member of Purdue Reamers, Professional Engineers, and Aldersgate Free Methodist Church.
Rick was survived by his daughter, Heather Rosebrock Jeide (Aaron); sons, Chad Rosebrock (Carla), Kevin Rosebrock (Tiffany), and Ryan Rosebrock (Adrienne); nine grandchildren; brothers, Randy Rosebrock (Anne) and Robert Rosebrock (Jennifer); sisters, Linda Prell (George) and Lori Hilarides (Randy).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Lucy Rosebrock.
Family and Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, with funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, in Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis.
