Thomas Myron Lynch, 90, passed away on Dec. 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family in Greenfield. He was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Indianapolis, to Harold Lynch and Louverne (Crosley) Lynch.
He later met and married Vera Mae (Bangel) Lynch and they have been happily married for 55 years before his passing.
After receiving his high school education, Tom attended classes at Iowa Wesleyan College. He served as a Private First Class in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the service, he managed and owned Lynch Jewelers where he was a watch and jewelry maker for 50 years.
Tom had many passions, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with family and many friends. He was known for being a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend.
The family would also like to thank the loving staff at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Greenfield, for their kindness and wonderful care of Tom during his stay.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his son, Doug (Cyndi) Lynch; daughter, Kathy Bledsoe; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Dickerson; sister, Sue (Tom) Kema; five grandchildren, Mike Lynch, Sarah (Danny) West, Corey (Katie) Lynch, Matthew (Savanna) Lynch and Kelley (Travis) Key; three step-grandchildren; as well as five great- grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Lynch and his sister, Dorothy Lynch.
Visitation for Tom will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at Hendryx Mortuary Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, with visitation from 9-10 a.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
