Ezra Harold Wallen, 80, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Community North Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1935, in Ky., as the son of Ernest and Virgie (Neal) Wallen.
He graduated from New Castle High School in 1953 and served in the Marines for three years. He married Patricia (Bell) on April 16, 1966 in New Castle.
Ezra worked for the Ford Motor Company as a supervisor for 34 years before retiring in 1991, he also worked for H&R Block, preparing taxes for 20 years. He was a member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church in Mohawk, he enjoyed reading and going on daytrips.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wallen of Greenfield; son, Aaron Wallen of Fishers; daughter, Lisa Wallen of Indianapolis; brother, Arnold Wallen of New Castle; sisters, Sherlene Petty of Benton, Kentucky, Christine Tabor of Hagerstown and Lillian Enlow of Fowler and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ernest and Virgie Wallen.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, also at the mortuary. Pastor Steve Elmer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
