Troy A. Hancock, 63, of Greenfield, passed away all too soon on Wednesday evening, Nov. 25, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Troy was born in Franklin on June 13, 1952, to his parents, the late Henry Eulas and Ola Mae (Barnett) Hancock.
He attended school in Brown County and retired this year from the City of Greenfield as an Equipment Operator after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing and camping. Troy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a collector of duck statues and liked to try his luck at the casino.
He is survived by his devoted wife, of 15 years, Angie (Goodman) Hancock, whom he married on Sept. 14, 2000, in Greenfield. Also surviving are his loving children, Joyce Brumfield of Nashville, Michelle (James) Satter of Morgantown, Scott Foster of Fla., Courtney (Keith) Harmon and Wendy Foster both of Greenfield, Russel Sluss of Greensburg, Nikki Kinder and Jake Kinder both of Greenfield; siblings, Barbara Sims of Indianapolis and Shirley (Larry) Redmon of Greenfield; grandchildren, Cameron Smyth, Jordan Lowe, Kaylee Satter, Kendra Satter, Aarika Foster, Wesley Harmon, Dolan Kinder, Josh Foster, Hunter Sluss, Zach Harmon, McKinley Foster and Jameson Kinder and great- grandchildren, Abel Cromer and Brayden Smyth.
Troy was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Jackson, Irene Hancock, Ernest, Kenneth, John, Wallace, Archie, Gordon, Harold and Ray Hancock.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at the funeral home and from Noon until time of service on Monday. The Rev. Matt Satter will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30. 2015, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
