County primary turnout lower than state, 2011
GREENFIELD — While voter turnout statewide was 12 percent in May, in Hancock County it was only 9 percent.
Of the 26,845 registered voters in areas with a municipal election in Hancock County, 2,408 turned out last month.
That’s lower than the 2011 primary, when 16 percent of eligible registered voters turned out.
