Board bans cellphones in class; laptops to replace
GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central High School students won’t be able to use their cellphones during class starting next school year.
The school board approved the change Monday, along with several other updates to student, athletic and digital technology handbooks.
Administrators said since students will be issued laptops next year, there is no need for cellphones in the classroom. Students will be allowed to use phones during passing periods and at lunch.
