Betty Jean Williams, 89, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at her residence. She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Greenfield, a daughter of Jesse (Johnson) Haynie.
Betty was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She was a beautician and had also worked at Hancock Regional Hospital as a nursing assistant. Betty enjoyed playing Bunco, knitting, crocheting and reading.
She is survived by daughters Patricia (Mike) Keller of Prineville, Oregon and Lisa (Denny) Oakes of Wilkinson; grandchildren Ashley (Matt) Norman and Dustin (Cortney) Oakes both of Wilkinson; great-grandchildren Denver, Carver and Jonathan Oakes, Jakin Norman and one on the way; sister-in-law Launa Williams of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Williams; sister Ruth Goodwin; son David Lee Williams; grandson Elijah Keller.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Curt Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
