Visvaldis Ilmars Irbe, 81, of Avon, passed away on April 20, 2015. He was born on March 4, 1934, in Lielvarde, Latvia.
He was a retired Union Carpenter for Local 60. He was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church, Daugavas Vanagi and the Latvian Community Center.
He is survived by his children, Andre Hugo (Peggy) Irbe, Doug (Christine) Irbe and Michele (Gunvids) Jansons; grandchildren Ethan, Mason and Rachel Irbe; sister Valda Burgis and brother Janis Irbe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah J. Riedel Irbe.
Services will be at 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior on Friday, April 24, 2015, in the Latvian Lutheran Church, 801 W. 73rd St., Indpls., Indiana. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Latvian Lutheran Church or the Indianapolis Latvian School.
