HANCOCK COUNTY — Coordinators of the District 5 Medical Reserve Corps, which includes Hancock County, recently honored Larry and Marsha Ellett as Volunteers of the Year during National Volunteer Appreciation Week.
During an emergency, public health officials rely on trained volunteers to assist in response efforts. Many of these volunteers come from the local Medical Reserve Corps. The MRC is a national network of volunteers that is organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities.
