The Hilbert Conservatory has been transformed into a tropical paradise to bring you “Butterfly Kaleidoscope,” butterflies, up close and personal. More than 40 different species, such as the blue morpho, monarch and great owl butterfly fly freely and might even land on visitors. New butterflies are released each day. The Buck Creek Players presents “A Few Good Men,” opening this weekend and running through April 5 at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. First produced on Broadway in 1989 and the inspiration behind the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name, Aaron Sorkin’s play tells the story of military lawyers at a court-martial who uncover a high-level conspiracy in the course of defending two United States Marines accused of murder. Based on actual events that took place at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in 1986, “A Few Good Men” is a courtroom drama that investigates both the nature of our military mentality and the Marine code of honor. The Ballet Theatre of Indiana and Sun King Brewing are teaming up to present “Beer & Ballet,” a night of contemporary and classical ballet performances served with locally brewed suds. The evening will include new contemporary works by BTI artistic directors Stirling and Sabrina Matheson, a piece by guest choreographer Cole Companion and excerpts from “Le Corsaire.” Tickets are $20 or $15 for students and seniors.
