Georgia Pearl (Lane) (Wyatt) Lain, 93, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Mt. Comfort to the late Byford L. and India Grace (Wright) Lane.
Georgia Pearl had worked at Eli Lilly & Co., helped her husband Ray Wyatt in farming, and in her youth worked at the Fortville Ice Cream Store.
She was a graduate of the old Mt. Comfort High School, a member of the Fortville United Methodist Church, the Eden Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 101, and served on the Gravel Lawn Cemetery Board.
Georgia Pearl is survived by children Barbara (Ancil) Paugh of Greenfield, Ron (Marty) Wyatt of Fortville, Paul (Karen) Wyatt of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters Mary Catherine “Cat” (William “Sleepy”) Fry of Greenfield and Elsie McCord of Greenfield; stepsons Don (Lana) Lain, Gary (Daneisa) Lain and Janet Lain; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husbands James R. “Ray” Wyatt and Dayton Lain; and brother Paul Lane.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Seals Funeral Home in Fortville. A celebration of Georgia Pearl’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
