‘Listen’ artist to present free concert
Sally Applegate Rodeman will present a free concert at 6 p.m. March 22 at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Ave. in Indianapolis. She is to sing and play uplifting songs of faith from her latest CD, “Listen.” Based on Scripture, the music has a gospel feel while featuring jazz and an easy ballad style. She is the Evening Vespers music director at the church and has performed widely in Indianapolis and other areas.
A pizza reception follows the concert. Visitors are always welcome to special events and to Sunday services at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Spring vacation Bible School set
GREENFIELD — Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 213 N. East St., will offer a free spring vacation Bible school for children from 3 years old through fifth grade.
It begins with dinner at 6 p.m., followed by activities based on Paul and Silas in the Bible until 8 p.m.
Revival coming to Fortville Nazarene
FORTVILLE — Fortville Church of the Nazarene presents services of spiritual renewal Sunday through Wednesday.
Service times Sunday will be 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Services on Monday through Wednesday begin at 7 p.m. Nursery will be provided for infants through age 3.
Leading worship will be Sean and Kristy Rose. The special speaker will be the Rev. Jim Chapman.
As a youth pastor of 20-plus years, Jim Chapman remembers taking students to camps, conferences, and retreats to hear phenomenal speakers. The students really wanted to connect with these men and women off the stage, but they rarely got the chance. These events often lacked a next step for the students.
One evening after attending a conference with a group of students, one of the teens stopped Chapman and said, “I’m all charged up, but I’m not sure what I need to do next.” In response to this experience, Chapman felt called to start Big Chap Ministries (BCM) to fill the “what next” void. At the heart of BCM is a desire to be authentic communicators called by God and communicators who are willing to connect on and off stage.
Chapman was born and raised in Illinois and holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis Christian College. He is an ordained minister and has been featured in numerous publications concerning current youth culture. He has also started multiple Christian Campus clubs in schools in the St. Louis area. A former radio personality, Chapman is a sought-after speaker and the author of “Finishing Well: A Guide to Training for the Race of Life.”
Chapman and his wife, Jennifer, live in the St. Louis area with their sons, Tyler and Hunter. Chapman loves sports and is an avid runner.

Chicken, noodle meal at Curry’s Chapel
GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church’s spring chicken and noodle dinner will run from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
The menu features chicken and homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw, applesauce, rolls, homemade desserts and drinks. A free-will offering will help support the church’s scholarship fund.

Apostolic youth gather for conference

Auction at fairgrounds to aid several groups
GREENFIELD — An old-fashioned country auction will benefit World Renewal International, Love INC and Friends of Recovery-Women’s Sober House, Talitha Koum.
The auction is set for 6 p.m. April 30 at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.
The proceeds will be divided equally between the three groups. Another Addison Auction will provide the auctioneer services.
Organizers are collecting new, slightly used, collectible or antique items (no clothes, please) for the auction. All donated items are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
