Garth Clifton Brooks, 47, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday March 12, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 28, 1967, in Indianapolis, and was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School before attending Ball State University.
Garth worked at several Indianapolis restaurants including Palamino, Buca di Beppo, and Bu Da Lounge. He also enjoyed gardening and interior design.
Garth is survived by his parents, Verle L. “Shorty” and Brenda J. (Rapp) Brooks of McCordsville; sisters Dawn R. Gilmore of Knotsville, Kentucky, and Anessa Z. (David) Mosiman of Anderson; brother Nathan M. (Stephanie Pope) Brooks of Fortville; nephews Kaleb Lacy, Michael C. (Brittany Daugherty) Gilmore and Matthew C. Gilmore; nieces Cheyenne (Cody Truax) Brooks, Hannah Joy Mosiman and Kristen M. Mosiman and several aunts; uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Garth’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Bright Point Church, 8555 N. County Road 500W, McCordsville, IN, 46055. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
