Garry W. Gadberry, 64, passed away March 11, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Indianapolis, on May 31, 1950.
Garry enlisted in the Marine Corps when he was 17 years old, and served in the Vietnam War. Garry was a longtime union electrician of I.B.E.W. Local #481.
Garry was a longtime member of the American Legion in Knightstown, and an avid gun enthusiast.
He leaves behind sons Garry W. Gadberry II, and Michael A. Gadberry; grandson Taylor Clem Gadberry of Knightstown; also survived by his lifelong sweetheart, Rhonda L. (King) Gadberry of Knightstown.
Preceded in death by his mother, Erma Bardash; his father, Dalla Gadberry; daughter-in-law Debra Gadberry; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; stepmother; sisters Melva Montgomery of Arizona, Anna Hoppe (Jeff) of Kokomo, half-brothers Thomas Hutson (Angela) of Knightsown and Robb Lively of Kokomo; along with extended family members aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins and many in-laws.
A military and life celebration service will held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at New Castle Church of Christ, 423 S. 11th St., in New Castle. The Rev. Dennis Kinser will be officiating.
