Carmella "Camille" Margaret Forkel, 79, of New Palestine, passed away on March 6, 2015, in Indianapolis. She was born in Schenectady, New York, on Jan. 1, 1936, to the late Geraldine Frances (Driscoll) and Joseph Formichelli.
Carmella was a 1954 graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Schenectady, New York, and was a legal secretary for James E. Holiday Law Office in New Palestine for 18 years.
Survivors include, sons Dennis Forkel of New Palestine and Darren Forkel of New Palestine, (Rachel Kennedy of New Palestine), daughter Denise Forkel-Lemons of Indianapolis (Edward Sexton); brothers Joseph Formichelli, Jr. of Jefferson, New York; brother-in-law Raymond (Mary) Forkel of Clifton, New York; grandchildren Dustin and Devin Forkel of King, North Carolina, Jeremy Lemons of Indianapolis; nephew David Formichelli of Rotterdam, New York; cousins in the Formichelli-Colandra family; friend Joanne Covert of Schenectady, New York.
She was preceded in death by both parents and husband Herman G. Forkel.
Memorial Services will be later this year in Schenectady, New York.
