James M. “Mike” Bird, 58, of Shelbyville, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at his residence. He was born Sept. 11, 1956, to James M. Bird and Patricia (Wilson) Bird in Shelbyville.
Survivors include his mother of Shelbyville; sister Janice (Jerry) Veerkamp of Shelbyville; brother Dennis (Joyce) Bird of Wadesville; one nephew; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, seven uncles and two aunts.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Robert Prather officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
