Ralph A. “Red” Wesner, 90 of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Palestine, Ill., to the late Harry and Laura (Magill) Wesner.

Red was a graduate of Palestine High School and served in the Navy during WWll as a Gunner in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. He was a member of the American Legion Post #119, Voiture #1415, Forty & Eight and the VFW #2693. He loved to golf, fish and loved his Canada and Minnesota trips.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kay Wesner of Greenfield; sons, Alan (Glenna) Wesner of Greenfield, Bob (Tina) Wesner of Foley, Ala.; sister, Marjorie Wesner-Cox of Bridgeport, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a multitude of friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Debbi Colwell, Kathy Medlin; brothers, Harold Wesner, Earl Wesner; sisters, Lucille Wesner-Scheessele, Myrtle Wesner-Schifler and Mable Wesner-Titsworth.

A memorial visitation will be held 4-8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140, with military rites at 7 p.m.
