Zelma L. (Burton) Best, 88, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at her residence. She was born on May 27, 1926, in Kentucky as the daughter of William and Oline Burton. Zelma married the love of her life Ralph E. Best, Sr. They were married nearly 60 years.
She was a beloved Avon Representative for over 40 years. She was a member of Shiloh Christian Church in Greenfield. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was well known in her community for her great sense of humor.
Zelma is survived by her children, Donna (Merrill) Storm of Morristown and Ralph E. Best, Jr. of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, and Brandon Storm, and William (Valerie) Best; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, and Aubrey Best; sister, Corinne Hurst of Fishers.
Her loving husband, Ralph Sr. and parents, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, also at the mortuary. Pastor Fred Girdwood and Chaplain Russ Jarvis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
