Evelyn J. (Keppel) Cauldwell, 95, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. She was born July 17, 1918, in Shelby County to the late John G. and Lora L. (Fox) Keppel. Evelyn served in World War II in the Women’s Army Corps.
She is survived by her stepsons, Michael Lee Cauldwell of Fortville and W. Ross (Cherri) Cauldwell, Jr. of Bainbridge; four stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna R. Weaver and Jean Keller
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Cauldwell; brothers, John G. Keppel, Neil E. Keppel, Bud Keppel, Glen Keppel, Earl Keppel and Ervin Keppel and sisters, Edith Monroe, Ethel N. Shugert and Elsie L. Turner.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
