Robert F. DeVoe, 84, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. Robert was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Wheeling, W. Va., to the late Harry Augustus DeVoe and Mary Olga (Scarborough) DeVoe.
He graduated from Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Ohio, and was an educational writer and supervisor at The Adjutant General’s School at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis. He earned a bachelor’s degree at The Ohio State University.
He is survived by his wife, Claire (Straight) DeVoe; daughter, Dianne DeVoe (Lee) Walker of Knightstown; one grandchild, R. Brett (Elaine) Walker; and one great-grandchild, Drew Walker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Dana Stephen DeVoe.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m.Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
