Robert C. "Bob" Jannings, 54, Lapel, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, in Jennings, La., following a sudden illness. He was born on Dec. 2, 1957, in Niles, Michigan to Robert and Dessie (Hickman) Jannings.
Bob was a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by four children, Billy (Christy) Jannings of Lapel, Melissa (John) Miller of Cicero, Lindsey Jannings of Lapel, and Austin Jannings of Lapel; five grandchildren; one sister, Pam (Ed) Moore of Frankton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Jerry Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
