Wanetta J. “Peggy” Johnson, 88, of Greenfield, formerly of Maxwell, passed away Wednesday night June 13, 2012, at her residence. She was born October 25, 1923, in Grove City, Ohio to the late Albert E. and Adda O. (Vane) Willing.
She was a homemaker and former co-owner/operator with her husband of Johnson’s Grocery in Maxwell. She was member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, Eden Order of the Eastern Star #101 and the Rebekah Hope #114. Peggy was a Greenfield Central High School Band Booster from 1979 – 1983.
She is survived by her sons; Fred (Alberta) Johnson of Greenfield, Cleve (Lisa) Johnson of Greenfield; 4 grandchildren and several great – grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Johnson; daughter, Linda Lou Stephenson; sister, Anita Breckenridge; brothers, Wilmer and Willard Fisher.
Visitation will be Saturday June 16, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Private family entombment service will be at a later time.
