Harold Thomas Clark, 87, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Orlando, Fla., Greenfield, and Tenn., passed away at 2:25 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, in his residence. He was born March 5, 1924, in Celina, Tenn., the son of Benjamin Harrison and Winnie (Goodpasture) Clark.
He retired, after 37 years from Eli Lilly Company of Indianapolis, where he worked as a Toxicology / Vet Technician. Harold was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Army Infantry, entering Utah Beach in Normandy on D-Day June 6,1944, he also served in the Korean War. Harold was a 50+ year member of the Indiana Masonic Lodge, A. F. & A. M.
Harold is survived by, Charlotte Russell whom he has shared his life since 1991; son, Daniel (Kathleen) Clark of Greenfield; brother, Omer (Ethel) Clark of Winter Park, Fla. ; sister, Billie Frances (Gene) Evans of Zionsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mildred Ann Stevens.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday until time of service at the Swengel – ODell Funeral Home of Neoga, Ill. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 9, 2012, at the Swengel – O’Dell Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga, officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Mattoon V. F. W. Post 4325. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.
