Helen Faye Brown, 87, of Fishers, died on Friday, May 25, 2012, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, following an extended illness. She was born on March 14, 1925, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Albert Samuel and Leona (Cooper) Ellis.
Helen was a graduate of Spiceland High School and Indiana Business College. On Oct. 12, 1958, she married her late husband Richard Cyrus Brown at the Hazelwood Christian Church in Muncie, Ind. Helen served 28½ years with the Delco-Remy Division of General Motors. During those years she served has secretary to the Resident Comptroller and in various accounting positions. She and her husband had been residence of Yorktown and Muncie area for 29 years from 1958-1987; Little Rock Arkansas for 4 ½ years from 1987-1992; and the Carmel area since 1992. Helen was a devoted member to the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Paul Revere Chapter.
She is survived by three nieces, Donna Sue Williams, Mary Frances Ellis, and Anita Louise Ellis.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cyrus Brown, on Sept. 7, 1996; two brothers, Willard Ellis and Ralph Ellis; and a niece, Judith Williams.
In honor of her wishes internment will be private with no services at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown; Ind.
