Elizabeth Ann Beckman Shanks, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, due to complications from pneumonia. She was born on Feb. 10, 1926, in Indianapolis.
Betty had lived in Folsom, CA for the past five years where she enjoyed family, friends and neighbors. Married in 1945 to Bill Shanks, the love of her life,who she is with him again.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (David) Walker of Greenfield, and Terri (Dan) Richards of Cameron Park, CA; grandchildren Melissa, Melinda and Daniel; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Preceded her in death in 2007, was her husband Bill Shanks.
Mom, we will miss your wit, your wisdom and most of all your love. We will see you again.
A celebration of her life along with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 East 10th Street. Interment will follow at Washington Park Cemetery.
