Linda K. Jackson, 70, a resident of Greenfield passed away Friday May 18, 2012, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. She was born April 8, 1942, in Shelbyville, to the late Dale & Julia (Niles) Haywood.
Linda was a high school graduate and worked at the State Office Building in Indianapolis until she met her husband who was in the Air Force and stationed at Bunker Hill (Grissom) Air Force Base near Peru, Ind. She worked many different types of jobs and loved to help others and loved her flower gardens.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William E. Jackson; daughter, Deborah K. Jackson-Winter both of Greenfield; sons, Stephen E. Jackson of Beech Grove, Mark A. Jackson of Greenfield; sisters, Joyce Apple, Shirley Wall, Patty Shaw; brother, Earl Haywood all of Greenfield, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale (Gene) Haywood and one grandchild, Justin Allen Jackson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m on Thursday May 24, 2012 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday with Pastor Kenneth Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
