Gladys Marshall Pugh, 89, graduated to Heaven on Friday, May 1, 2012, at 5:15 p.m., following an extended battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 31, 1922, in Davilla, Texas to the late Rutherford Hayes Marshall and Georgia Ann Smith Marshall.
She was a 1942 graduate from Rogers High School in Rogers, Texas. She worked 2.5 years for Consolidated Aircraft in Fort Worth, Texas; 4.5 years for Feldt Western Shirts in Temple, Texas and 31 years for Indiana Knit Wear in Greenfield, before retiring and working in various ministries with her late husband.
Gladys selflessly loved her husband, family, friends and grand kids and cared for great-grand kids at times as late as age 88. She was defined and driven by her strong unwavering faith in Christ. A strong student of scripture with favorite verses and passages being Isaiah 26:3; John 14 and Isaiah 53.
Gladys leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Paul T. Pugh and Zack Pugh II; grandchildren, Zack Pugh III, Kirsten Pugh Hale, Tim Pugh, Melissa Pugh Gaddis, Amanda Pugh, Angela Pugh, Whitney Pugh, and several great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Zack Pugh Sr.
Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the funeral home with Zack Pugh II officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
