Susan Juanita (Bryant) Marlin, 73, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Morristown Manor. Born on May 10, 1938, in Shelbyville, Ky., she was the daughter of Lister and Laura (Grace) Bryant. She married Ron L. Marlin on August 31, 1974, in Indianapolis.
Susan worked as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Kentucky for fifteen years, and then as a secretary for American States Insurance Company in Indianapolis for ten years before retiring in 1984. Most recently, she had worked as the secretary and co-owner of Marlin Plant Kingdom in Greenfield for 26 years. She was a member of the Greenfield Christian Church and was a Hancock Regional Hospital guild member and volunteer.
Surviving Susan are her husband Ron Marlin of Greenfield; children, Tammey (David) Bennett of Indianapolis, Pam (Shawn) Mackey of New Palestine, and Gary (Patty) Marlin of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Mary Bryant of Morristown; two grandchildren, Kaylynn and Tracy Bennett; nephew, Kevin (Vickie) Bryant of Fountaintown; and niece, Becky Bryant (Geoff Griffin) of Champaign, Ill.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Ray Bryant.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
