Lucille R. Carvin, 89, of Odon, Ind., passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. Born in 1922 to Charles and Ruby (Minks) Sullivan.
She was married to Owen R. Carvin who preceded her in death in 1985.
After 30 years of employment, Lucille retired from NAD Crane in 1992.
Lucille enjoyed baking cookies and making candy, quilting, taking pictures, and genealogy study. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Aux.
Lucille is survived by daughters, Marcia (Jack) Werne of Jasper, Ind., Janet (John) Jones of Charlottesville, Ind.; grandaughter, Sara Jones; brothers, Russell Sullivan and Donald (Betty) Sullivan both of Bloomfield, Ind.; special neighbors, the Corwin families and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by; her parents; and brothers, Robert and Raymond Sullivan.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home and also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the funeral home. The service will begin at 1 p.m. with Brother Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Parkview Village Living Center.
