Violet Frances Glomb Shedlock, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 5, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. The daughter of George and Emma Heinz Glomb, Violet was born on Feb. 14, 1927, in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the Greenwood Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Shedlock; sons and daughters in law, Rick and Karen Shedlock and Rev. Glen and Missy Shedlock; grandchildren, Laura, Kayla and Sarah Shedlock, Cody and Austin Myers, Darian Bobish, Rustena Waldroup and Renee Wheelden; sister, Mar.
Besides her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her brother, Joe; and sisters, Dorothy, Josephine & Isabelle.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012, in Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington Street. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7 p.m.
