Ruth B. Huckeby, 85, of Greenfield and formerly of New Castle died on April 1, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Greenfield. She was born on Feb. 23, 1927, in New Castle Ind., and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucille (Over) Phares.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudia Irvine of Front Royal, Va. and Kelly Finney of Greenfield; one son, Lance Huckeby of Greenfield; six grandchildren, and several cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Main & Davis Funeral Home, Broad St. Chapel in New Castle with Pastor Fred Troxell officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott Cemetery in New Castle.
