Sharon Kay Woods, 64, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord March 24, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born June 2, 1947 in New Castle, Ind. to Cleveland and Mary (Pryor) Kent, who preceded her in death.
Sharon was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was employed at Indianapolis International Airport in the housekeeping department for over 20 years and had many wonderful friends there. She enjoyed games like scrabble, solitaire, and mahjong and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roger; son, Ronnie Woods, Sr.; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Woods, Ronnie Woods, Jr., and Evan Tyler Woods; sisters, Debbie J. Kent and Carolyn S.(Mel) Norris; nephew Brian Baker (Maya); nieces Dawn Clem (Charlie), Bobbi Tecua (Pedro),Beth Baker and Melissa Davenport (Bryon); and many great nieces; and nephews; and 1 great-great nephew; and 1 great-great niece.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel R. Woods; and sister, Mary C. Noland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis. A short graveside service will follow.
