Stanley Holt, 56, of Markleville, passed away on March 25, 2012, at St. Johns Health Systems. He was born on March 29, 1955, in Greenfield and resided in Markleville.

 Stanley was a truck driver for Republic Services. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Pinto Horse Association of America and the American Paint Horse Association. Stanley was also a farrier and blacksmith. He had previously trained race horses.

He is survived by his wife; Karen (Hundley) Holt; mother, Maxine (Kirkpatrick) Holt; siblings; Jerry Holt, Rick Holt, Greg Holt, Regi Holt (Kate), Vickie Holt; nieces and nephews; Kim, Shane, Gavin, Nick, Gabrielle, Zoe, Cody, Ashley, Zachary, Sherry, and Shelly. Father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Barbara Hundley; Sisters-in-law; Brenda Durand & Sherri Blondiau and many special friends.

He was preceded by his son Eric Holt in 1999, and father Victor G. Holt.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Ned Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
