Susan K. Davis, 55, of Carthage, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1956, in Greencastle the daughter of Richard L. Newkirk and Rose E. (Huller) Newkirk Tanksley.
Susan is survived by a daughter; Cindy Newkirk of Mantoon, Ill; two sons, Robert Davis of Shelbyville and Jason Davis of Greenfield; mother, Rose E. Tanksley of Carthage; father and stepmother, Richard Lee (Barbara) Newkirk of Bloomington, Ind.; sisters, Marsha (Martin) Sneed of Greensboro, Patricia Hyatt of Carthage; brother, Harry (Karen) Tanksley of Bentonville, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ernest Davis in 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Rev. George Maloyed, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to 2 p.m. Monday prior to service.
