J. Virgil Christian, age 95, died on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Morristown Manor. Born on Sept. 13, 1916, in Temperance Hall, Tenn., he was the son of John and Miranda (Winfrey) Christian.
Surviving him are his sons, Johnnie V. (Karen) Christian, Stephen M. (Sheila) Christian, both of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Margarette; parents, John and Miranda; and eight brothers and sisters.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m.on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Pastor Steve Bradley officiated.
