Loyce Dean Alderson Barber, age 82, of New Palestine, died on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, from complications following heart surgery. She was born in Allen County, Ky., in 1928, and was the daughter of Elvin Little Alderson and Alpha Stilwell Alderson.
Ms. Barber is survived by her husband of 62 years, Russell A. Barber, five children, Kathy Hersh, Jennifer Welt, Joseph Barber, Jane Andrick, Jonathan Barber; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the mortuary. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East.
