Darrell Glen Jones, age 53, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in Indianapolis. Born on April 10, 1958, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Carl and Erma (Lauderdale) Jones.
Darrell graduated from George Washington High School and earned a certificate from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis. He worked for Paper Art in Indianapolis for 18 years. He also worked for Delco Remy, Eli Lilly, and was a Great Clips franchisee.
Darrell loved to hunt deer and fish. He also loved working on computers, spending time with his grandchildren, and listening to music- especially Jimmy Buffett.
Surviving him are his wife, Becky (McGinnis) Jones of Greenfield; children, Darrell Jones of Indianapolis, Melissa Jones of Indianapolis, Jessica Jones of Fortville, Felecia Walker of Greenfield, Brandon (Samantha) Jenkins of Knightstown, and Katrina Jones of Greenfield; brothers, Mike Jones and Steve Jones, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Donita Robbins and Bonita Shaffer, both of Shelbyville; and ten grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Dwight Jones; and father, Jim Meisenberger.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A celebration of his life will follow at 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
