Shirley R. Collins, age 71, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. She was born on Aug. 28, 1940, in Anderson, to the late Lewis and Ethel Potraff Maddox.
Shirley worked as a machine operator for LAU Industries.
Shirley is survived by her children, James (Carolyn), Michael (Doreen) and Randy Collins; step-children, Gene Collins, Linda Breidenback; daughters-in-law, Joyce and Rose Collins; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Armes, and Mary Jones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Collins; daughter, Barbara Mott; granddaughter, Shirley Ward; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, also at the mortuary.
