Jacob “Jake” Scott Compton, age 23, of Greenfield, died on Sept. 26, 2011. Born on March 8, 1988, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Randy Scott and Shari M. (Asher) Compton.
Surviving him are his mother, Shari Compton of Shelbyville; daughter, Paige; brother, Devin Garrett; sister, Haley M. Compton of Shelbyville; grandparents, Bob and Rita Asher of Rockville, Indiana; and several aunts and uncles.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Funeral services will take place at noon on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
