Diane Elaine Abbott, age 66, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. Born on Nov. 12, 1944, in Throop, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Stoyak) Bosak.
Mrs. Abbott graduated from Throop High School in 1962 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1966. She worked in the pathology department of toxicology at Eli Lilly from 1979 until 2009. Her most recent employment was at Covance of Greenfield. Diane was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and was an avid Colts fan and Humane Society supporter.
Surviving her are her son, John B. Abbott of Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Steve McIntosh will be officiating.
