Chris Lee Wright, age 58, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at his residence. Born on July 30, 1953, in Shelbyville, he was the son of William Harold Wright and Mary Frances (Theobald) Beyers.
Chris was a maintenance worker for Indiana Department of Transportation for the past seven years. He was an avid bird lover and loved nature. He enjoyed golfing. Chris graduated from Greenfield High School in 1971. He had been a stage hand and roady with Gene Simmons and the band KISS.
Survivors include his brother, Stephen Wright of Greenfield; sister, Trudy Wright of Greenfield; and niece, Lauren Wright of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Meredith Wright.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Langdon officiating. Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery.
