Alice Lillian Ruesch Zuroske died at home in New Palestine, Ind., surrounded by family and friends on Sept. 25, 2011. She is now safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. She was born in Berwyn, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1931.
Alice was active in her church, Christ Lutheran Church of Irvington, L.W.M.L., Community Hospital Volunteers, and Washington Square Mall Walkers. She was beloved by family and many friends and will be greatly missed. Alive found comfort and courage in a faith so strong that those around her drew strength from her example and wisdom. Those who knew Alice found her quiet ways a source of Inspiration. Alice was looked up to as a mentor and role model by many because of the firm foundation and conviction of her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward Zuroske.
Survivors include daughter, Janice Zuroske White; son, James (Crystal) Zuroske; grandchildren, Jaime (Zuroske) Slusher, Kevin Slusher, Merideth White, Andrew White, Christopher (Jessica) Zuroske; and great grandchildren Aiden and Samuel Slusher.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East. Services will be held at 11 am. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, from Christ Lutheran Church of Irvington, 345 N. Kitley Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219. Inurnment will be later at Washington Park East Cemetery.
