Ted A. Holliday, 62 of Las Cruces, N.M. died Friday June 17, 2011. He was born to Vernis and Catherine Holliday on Sept. 27, 1948 in New Castle, Indiana.
Ted was a member of the local Elks lodge, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling and going on cruises with his wife. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and will receive Military Honors at his memorial service. Ted was home builder by trade and was president and owner of Hollmar Builders. He was honored to be a member of Las Cruces builders Association which is now known as The Building Industry Association of Southern New Mexico. Most importantly he was a loving husband and father.
Ted is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Holliday of the family home; daughters, Heather Holliday Thomas and husband Ted of Greenfield, Ind., Victoria Marlowe of Las Cruces, N.M., sons Chris Marlowe of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Scott Marlowe of Corrales, N.M., 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brothers, Barry and Bruce Holliday.
Ted will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service celebrating Ted’s life will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home.
