Nancy L. (Duzan) Crickmore Shaw, age 79, died on Friday, June 17, 2011 at her home. She was born on Nov. 14, 1931 in Fortville, Ind. to Vinton L. Duzan and Eva May (Girt) Duzan.
She graduated from the old Fortville High School in 1949. She was married to Thomas Crickmore Jr. for 35 years and also to Norman C. Shaw for 24 years.
Nancy was a cashier at Strough’s Supermarket in Fortville for 15 years and was the co-owner of Quick Electric in Fortville. She was a member of Fortville Christian Church for 50 years, New Palestine United Church member, Fortville O.E.S. member for 50 years, past president of the Psi Iota Xi philanthropic organization, and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving Nancy are her children, Thomas (Mary Rose) Crickmore of Pendleton, Sidney (Etta) Shaw, Joseph (Susie) Shaw, Chris Shaw, Tondia (Gary) Scheiter all of Greenfield; brother, Bill (Julia) Duzan of Fortville; sister, Margie (Lafe) Shultz of Fortville; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her first and second husbands; parents; son, T. Joseph Crickmore; granddaughter, Dawn Shaw; two nephews, Derrid Shultz, Garrid Shultz; and brother, Ned Duzan.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 also at the mortuary. Reverend Carl Coffey Sr. will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
