Anna F. (Blythe) Smoot, 63, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at home in McCordsville. She was born Aug. 16, 1947 in Paris, Ky. to the late Johnny and Mildred (McCord) Blythe and attended Ruddles Mill High School.
Mrs. Smoot worked at Marsh Supermarket for 27 years and co-owned Fortville Lawn and Garden Center with her husband of nearly fifty years, Harold H. Smoot. Anna enjoyed fishing, shopping, cooking, boating, and riding her John Deere Gator. She most treasured time spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Anna is also survived by three daughters; Dawn (Jeff) Laughlin of McCordsville, Linda (Alan) Eckler of Greenfield, and Brenda (Todd) Garrity of McCordsville; grandchildren, Ashley & Amber Eckler and Tyler & Brittany Garrity; brother, Johnny (Judy) Blythe of Georgetown, Ky.; niece, Kim Dunaway; nephew, Todd Blythe; as well as several granddogs.
Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
