Miriam Durick, 85, a resident of Greenfield and formerly of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, in Ga.

She was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Charleston, S.C. to the late James Shannon and Lessie Dyches Holly.

Miriam was a retired clerk for Hooks Drugs of Indianapolis, she attended Westland Friends Church and loved both, animals and flowers.

Surviving Miriam are sons, James (Cheryl) Durick of Greenfield, Charles Durick of Newnan, Ga., Mark Durick of Indianapolis, Michael (Charlene) Durick of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Douglas Durick of Fla.; grandchildren, Tim (Chasity) Durick of New Castle, Jeremy (Shawna) Durick of Greenfield, Jennifer (Derek) Gustin of Greenfield, Andrew and Anthony Durick both of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Durick; son, Robert Durick; sister, Betty Turner; brothers, J.S. Holly, Claude Morris and Charles Cecil Holly.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield with Rod Abram officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
