Gene E. Hutzel, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis to Edward and Martha Hutzel, and she survives.
Gene was an avid outdoorsman who took great pride in all that he did.
He is survived by his best friend and companion, Sherry Downing; one son, Edward “Eddie” Hutzel; three daughters, Christine Bertram (Jonathan), Lynda Fisk, Debra Orapeza (Michael); one brother, Stephen Hutzel; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Family and friends will gather in Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A service will be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
