Robert Eugene “Dick” Webb, age 70, of Fortville, died on May 19, 2011, at Regency Place of Greenfield. Born on April 7, 1941, in Marion County, he was the son of Scotty Earl and Meadia (Sewell) Webb. Mr. Webb worked as head custodian at Mt. Vernon High School for over twenty two years before retiring in 2006. He had also worked previously as a construction worker and a carpenter.
He loved working with wood and making birdhouses, tinkering with his tools, and fishing. He had also served previously in the United States National Guard.
Surviving him are many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings, Martha, Raymond, Jeff, Ruth Ann, Barbara, Norma, Margaret, and Billie Jo.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Fortville. Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 23, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
