Zollie Alson Johnson, age 63, of Greenfield, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, after a long eight year fight with cancer. He was born Nov. 17, 1947 in Jabez, Ky., the son of the late Zollie and Dolorus Johnson.
Alson was a member of the Smith Grove United Baptist Church of Faubush, Ky. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He will be sadly missed by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and a host of friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson; one son, Joe Corsaro; sisters, Sherlene (Bobby) Gadberry of Jabez, Ky., and Sharon McQueary of Jabez, Ky.; nieces, Jolene (David) Bernard of Jabez, Ky., Brooke (Jeremy) England of Jamestown, Ky.; two great nieces, Abby Bernard and Taylor England; two great nephews, Daniel Bernard and Tyson England; our Special Princess, Serena Masters of Wilkinson; and our Thursday night son, Brandon Findlay.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
